Korea's MagnaChip, specializing in the design and production of CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) image sensors, digital multimedia chips, and LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) driver ICs, has decided to sell its application processor business to Korean semiconductor manufacturer GreenChips. MagnaChip will possess a 10% share of the new entity and continue to provide wafer foundry services for them.
